ReplyDeleteso for you, Mel, it would be the sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean, the sensation of sand in your pants, burning feet soothed in the sea foam... But in FL, you can get that year round, can't you?
ReplyDeleteTaste...cucumbers and onions in vinegar, fresh tomatoes, iced tea.
ReplyDeleteSmell...blooming irises, lilacs and Russian olive trees.
Sights...boats on the water and beings hauled on the roads, lots of skin, tans.
Sensations...light-weight clothing, sandals, heat,breezes.
Others...picnics, car windows down, air conditioning, growing crops, farmer's markets.
yep ~ year round summer...pretty much!
ReplyDeleteI have decided that not only do I not like the cold I pretty much don't like the hot either.
ReplyDeleteI do love the smells AND taste of fresh fruit.
ReplyDeleteJulie - I don't like to freeze and I don't like to swelter...guess we just want a utopia... heaven...
But I do like the changes of the seasons and the beauty they each bring... If only we could have cold without freezing and heat and humidity without sweating... ok I'll stop dreaming...
