thursday thirteen

Thirteen things I want to do when I grow up.

1. Be a florist
2. Be a Funeral Director or Mortician.  Really.  I liked this idea even before I read Angela Hunt's Doesn't She Look Natural.
3. Be a college professor
4. Be a(n) historian
5. Be an archeologist
6. Be a horse rancher
7. Be a photographer
8. Be some kind of scientist - biology or chemistry.  Or astronomy.
9. Be an interior designer
10. Be an event planner
11. Own a book store
12. Own a restaurant that uses natural and local foods.  Fresh, made from scratch.
13. Be a novelist.

  1. OOh a funeral director! That's an interesting one! I don't think I could do that one.I'm still trying to figure out what I wanna be when I grow up too. I see a lot of my aspirations on that list! Good luck!

  3. Interesting list. I once wanted to be a historian - I have a degree in history and love doing research, but I couldn't stay focused on just one area long enough to become an "expert" at it.

    Happy TT!

  6. I would love to have a sense of style to become an interior decorator but not sure I would opt to be a funeral director.

  12. Remember the B&B we talked about and the diner that served all cheese dishes? We would have called it "The Big Cheese" and have a picture of dad with an old time look and handle bar stash on his lip. remember? remember? remember when? lol

  13. My best friend in college was a funeral director. She thought it was harder to deal with the living folks than the dead ones. :)

And wait... you plan on growing up?!

Speaking of not growing up, I often come to your site just to hear the rainbow connection, that's how much I plan on not growing up!

  14. This was a fun idea. I may have to do it next week. My parents always wanted to own a Christia bookstore. And I'd love to have one too. It must be a family thing.

  15. Some of those things appeal to me. I really don't think I'd be a very good interior designer! My idea of a flower arrangement for a banquet is a bunch of sunflowers in a vase.

  16. Neat list - at least four of them were on my list and funeral director was one that I was told would be a great fit for me when I took some aptitude test in high school. I was mortified, but it would be an appropriate line of work for someone with a masters in counseling...

I would love to own a Christian bookstore or a Christian gym. How cool would it be to encourage people to lead healthy lives in a Christ centered gym.
