more randomness

Springtime in Colorado means asking,"Is that a pear blossom or a snowflake floating in the air?"

My mom and I met for lunch then sat for an hour in her van doing nothing.  Talked a little and yawned a lot, but nothing else.  Definitely not type A.

What is beyond the farthest star do you think?  God knows.  That may go in my next book.

On my 30 minute drive between here and another town, I pass shaggy scottish cattle, llamas, sheep, regular cattle, buffalo, and horses.  Many of which have young'uns right now.

I'm thinking I may start pronouncing every letter in a word.  You know like the word know.  Or knight or knickknack.  O what about the word what?    I don't want to exclude any of the letters.  Exclusion hurts.

  2. Kay, you have this effect on me...at least your blog does. I read your randomness which always makes me smile and then I clicked away, off to another blog. But I felt compelled, compelled I tell you, to return and offer a comment. You see, I went over the word knight over and over in my mind, pronouncing all the letters individually. Drove me crazy. But now I ku-no. A chivalrous fellow fighting a dragon is a ku-nig-hut!
Kay, use your powers for good. :0)

  5. When I can't sleep tonight because I'm pronouncing words in my head, I will think of you all. Yes Robbie, I also am compelled to return again and again to this silly blog spot. I think she has some strange powers indeed. And it's worse talking to her in person, huh! She once read the Hobbit to me when I was young and she did the voices, and guess what? She did the slinkers voice just like the movie made it. Strange poweres indeed.

  6. Yes, we sat in the van and almost let the wind rock us to sleep. I have felt a little spacey all day and got really turned around and lost trying to find the restaurant where we were to meet. Other than that it was really nice. I wish I could write those words correctly. Like ka-nick ka-nack, ka-no, ka-night, ka-hacky, ka-nit, ka-nap sack, ka-nob, Ka-nox ville, ka-nuckle, ka-nall ege.

  7. buffet or knee or how about just writing the words phonetically....my daughter writes her notes this way and makes for a fun read. Reminds me of reading Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn.

  8. Now all those superfluous letters are irritating me. It's good to try to ignore them whenever possible.
