13 long hours

This is what I've predicted my day to be like.  I've made this trip before.  If you've never driven across Kansas, well... try to keep it that way, if you can.  I have done it more than a dozen times.  Although south Kansas - which is the route we are taking, does have a little more interest than I70 does.

There are a few scenic highlights.

Hopefully nothing as exciting as this!

  2. Best of all, she is traveling with her children! I'm really glad it's her and not me, but I have 1 more kid than she does, and we will maybe make the very same trip later in the summer. Yeah! I actually like Kansas, but you know that I am a little silly in the head. She called and they are still on the way. Probably about half way at this time. Yippy!!! We will have lots of fun after a rest up for them. :)

  4. We used to travel across NE to visit my parents. I thought the trip was so long and boring - so I began to pray to make me enjoy the trip. I soon found myself enjoying the quiet peace of the countryside with the windmills and grazing cows. After my parents passed away, I actually missed that trip.
Thanks for sharing. Hope you didn't run into a tornado.

  7. I Love Kansas and never find it tiresome. For some reason God has beauty in every state of our wonderful USA. The word boring is so over used. As a society we need noise every where. How ofen are you alone with yourself? When was the last time shopped in a store with out loud ugly music? Thanks for the up date about your trip. Tell everyone HI!

I have more than one person who comments anonymously, so I'm trying to make my best guess.
