thursday thirteen

Thirteen people, songs, or shows that I have been a fan of in my time.
Pause my music for the videos coming up.

Wonder woman!  I wanted to be just like her.

Dick Van Dyke.  Mostly, I think because I loved the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Cookie Monster speaks for himself.  What's not to love?
Emergency 51.  Six isn't too young to have a crush.
Used to listen to him for hours.
Again, what's not to love?  Ok, don't answer.
It is nearly impossible to find a picture of this man smiling!
Yes, I was a very cool teenager.
Ahhh, Ponch...

When I was about eight, this was my favorite song.

This was my favorite song before that.

Tom Jones' TV show!!  When I dance like this, people laugh!

What child of the seventies didn't love Land of the Lost?

  1. Well, I was a teenager in the 70's and many of those bring back memories. I can sing along with many of the songs. Ahhh, Memories.

Happy TT! Mine is about MY childhood memories through fairy tales and poems.

  4. Neat list Kay. I didn't see a title before the first song started and as I listened it felt familiar, but I didn't get it until the chorus started - Rinestone Cowboy...

I too liked the Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.

As for Land of the Lost it terrified me, but I was just a little one when I watched it (less than 10).

  5. Aaaahhhh, Johnny. Indirect inspiration for The Famous One . . . I will always love him because of the Lord.

  6. What a trip down nostalgia lane. I loved John Denver and Sonny and Cher and Barry. I was an Ernie and Bert fan and didn't ever watch Tom Jones. But he has some moves...I have to see you dance like that! :0)

  8. Robbie, as long as I have a chiropractor appointment already scheduled!

I actually don't remember watching the Tom Jones show, but I have it on good authority that I was a fan. I would love to go see him live, while he's still got a move or two left.

  9. Alright! Kay, about this list... I approve of all of the items on it. About the dancing,well...I would pay money to see you bust a move like Tommy boy. I remember hours of Berry on the old sterio, I preferred Beryl Ives, and the old guy that sang about Shep, and the one that sang Blood on the Saddle, Ritter. John Denver was always cool! I also remember borrowing records from the library...ones of sound effects. THAT was cool! And I like your hair..bye.

  10. Brought back some memories for me also. Hours and hours of memories. You were quite the versatile and had a wide range of interests (!). And yes, you did like Tom Jones' show. And you were pretty little.
