A few months ago my daughter said to me, "Mom it isn't fair that you had so many pets and we haven't had any!" And I agreed with her. That isn't right. We had tried hampsters and we had a fish for a while, but the hampsters didn't work out and the fish wasn't very fun. So that's when we got our dog that we have now.
Here are 13 pets I have had - in the order that I think of them.
1. My cat Smokey
2. a duck named Henry - then Henrietta
3. a rat - stupid thing bit me - didn't deserve a name
4. a rabbit name Peanuts
5. a chicken. I can't remember her name, but she had one.
6. a dog named Rags
7. a pony named Creampuff
8. a cat named Shoney
9. a dog named Dolly
10. a dog named Wog
11. a cat named Tubby
12. a cat named Fluffy
13. and now we have a dog named Skittles
You could add several more cats to that list. And a dog that I don't really remember.
There's a picture of Smokey and me and just for fun, one of my sister and her dog, Sugar.
I want a pet!!
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to say the music was very inspirational.
ReplyDeleteThis is the 2nd TT today I have seen on pets. I had a mere 3 when I was growing up, and my children have had none.
I had fun visiting your TT.
Mine is at The Cafe.
Hope you'll drop by.
Love the music and love your pets names!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list!
This may show up twice. I hit enter instead of tab and my comment disappeared. We had a dog in Beulah that got hit by a car about a week after we got it. Can't remember its name. We had Marshmallow when we had Tubby. We (your dad and me) had Grandpa's mean little dog for awhile. I can't even name the cats we're had since you left home. Well, maybe I could if I tried hard.
ReplyDeleteI loved our dog Katie. I wish we still had her. She lived 15 years.
ReplyDeleteWow, you HAVE had a lot of pets! We had a Sheltie named Lady who died several years ago. Now we have a German shepherd named Stormy, who isn't in very good health, and a crazy little toy poodle named Brandy.
ReplyDelete#3 - a rat - I had a rat too - not really a pet... I majored in psychology and we had to take a class called "Rat Lab." In my mind the creatures would be small and the day the professors introduced us to our new friend I about had a heart attack. He said in all his years teaching the class he hadn't seen anyone react as strongly as I did. I was TERRIFIED. But before the semester was over I got used to my rat and had named him Ivan (as in the terrible).
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know that was me until I read the end of the post, tee, hee. You sure go thru pets don't cha! Most of our pets have lived long full lives I guess.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a pet person. My sister has a cat that I like to play with, but I'm fine leaving him at her place when I leave.
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
I think four of those critters bit you. The rat, rabbit, duck, creamy, and probably the chicken too. I bet all of them had a taste of Kay at one time or another. Bugs liked the way you tasted also. You must have been sweet....aw!;)
ReplyDeleteIt's dogs, dogs, dogs for me. But I'm all in favor of anyone who loves animals.
