I've said it before, I'm not one for resolutions. But in the spirit of taking chances and learning to accept failure as an option, I am making some decisions about things that I would like to do differently this year.
I plan to read a writing book every month.
I plan to eat a piece of fruit or a vegetable every day. (I know, that's terrible)
I plan to blog at least three times per week.
That's not everything on my list, but they are the things that are measurable.
There are other things like:
Say the nice things, (as opposed to just thinking them)
Take care of myself
Mess up
Be joyful
Simplify
There are a lot of those that have more to do with outlook and attitude than specific actions. But I'll have to take action to change the outlook, I think.
What about you? What do you kinda want to do differently this year?
I like your plans, I could pretty much take your list and make it my own. For some reason, the Take care of Myself one lept off the screen. Maybe it is something I have to work on myself.

The biggie of course. LOSE WEIGHT.
ReplyDeletePray more, Love more, Forgive more
and purposely practice positive thinking about myself and others.
That's just a few.
I don't do New Year's Resolutions anymore. I've instead decided to do Life resolutions. I wrote a whole blog about it. Take a look and tell me what you think. Thanks and good luck keeping your resolutions.

I'm with you on the eating fruits and vegetables thing! I don't eat enough of them, although I love fruit (but more so in the summer). I usually gravitate towards carbs when I want something to eat.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that they aren't hard and fast resolutions, but things you'd "kinda like to do." I do that to myself, too, because I tend to rebel, even when it's my own self setting the standards.
ReplyDeleteBut, with that said, I'm kinda renovating my life this year. I've got me some personal and professional goals, sister!
